Hello, and welcome to "Say No to Book Bans!"
Throughout the United States, books by authors of color and queer folks are being banned in K-12 schools. As a queer person of color myself, I have found books to be a great source for helping me explore my identities. To think that thousands of young students are being denied this experience is extremely upsetting. This blog is being created to help others understand why books by marginalized authors are being banned and the negative impacts of these bans, as well as provide a resource guide with intersectional books that analyze race, gender, sexuality, and identity.
